From an early interest in various design fields to becoming a professional graphic designer, my path has been filled with key milestones, challenges, and valuable lessons. Initial Interest in Design

My fascination with design began long before I discovered graphic design. I was deeply interested in fashion design, building design and architecture, product design, interior design, and more. This broad interest in all things design naturally led me to graphic design during my high school years. Initially, I saw graphic design as a stepping stone to my ultimate goal of becoming an architect.

During high school, I enrolled in graphic design courses as part of my curriculum. I particularly enjoyed units that focused purely on graphic design, such as creating logos and brands and building up brand identities. Despite my growing love for graphic design, I was still determined to pursue architecture.

From Freelance to Formal Business

While studying, I wanted to earn extra cash alongside my supermarket job. I began teaching myself various design programs and started freelancing as a logo designer. My initial projects were small, but they were crucial in building my skills and confidence. As I taught myself more about the software and the nuances of design, I started taking on bigger projects, including website design.

Over time, my freelance work grew, and I decided to turn my gig into a formal business. This transition allowed me to take on larger projects and work with a diverse range of clients. The experience was invaluable and marked a significant milestone in my journey from amateur to professional.

Key Milestones and Challenges Overcome

One of the most pivotal moments in my journey was landing my first big client project. It was both exciting and daunting, but it pushed me to expand my skills and deliver high-quality work. Another significant milestone was officially registering my business, which provided me with a sense of legitimacy and opened up more opportunities.

However, the journey wasn't without its challenges. Balancing my studies, part-time job, and freelance work required excellent time management and resilience. I also faced the challenge of staying updated with the latest design trends and software advancements, which was crucial in maintaining a competitive edge.

Current Professional Status

Today, I have six years of experience and have worked on over 45 different client projects, ranging from branding and website design to print design. My journey from amateur to professional has been rewarding and fulfilling, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made.
